Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus recently revealed its software maintenance schedule for its OnePlus 3. In that the company revealed that the OnePlus 3 and the OnePlus 3T will get Android updates till November 2018 and Android security updates till November 2019.
The company has now announced that both the OnePlus 3 and the 3T will get Android P update after the OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 5T an OnePlus 5. The company recently released Android
P beta 3 update for its flagship smartphone — OnePlus 6.
Large screens are favoured by customers in China, where Huawei is the most popular brand, most likely because Chinese lettering takes up more space on the screen. Both Samsung and Apple are expected to up the screen sizes on their devices later this year too, with 6.38- and 6.46-inch screens expected for the Galaxy Note 9 and iPhone X Plus respectively.

The report says that Samsung Display will begin supplying the new AMOLED panels to Huawei in the third quarter of 2018, which tallies up with the launch of the Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro, which were unveiled in October and available later that month and in early November. We would therefore suggest the Mate 20 – and possible Mate 20 Pro, although this isn’t confirmed – will follow a similar launch cycle.
In an official post the company said, “Over the past few months, we have been working closely with Google on the Android P Beta program. Thanks to everyone’s participation and continued feedback, the progress we have made together has been greatly accelerated. The Android P update will be available on the OnePlus 6, OnePlus 5/T and OnePlus 3/3T, in this order. We will keep you all updated in the coming months.”
To recall, the company launched the OnePlus 3 and 3T in 2016. The OnePlus 3T is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 821, while the OnePlus 3 packs Snapdragon 820 processor.
OnePlus 3T has a 16MP primary camera with a Sony IMX298 sensor and LED flash. The camera is capable of recording 4K video, as well as slo-mo (120fps) videos in HD resolution.The OnePlus 3T comes with a 16MP front-facing snapper with a Samsung sensor. The camera has Phase Detection Autofocus and is capable of recording Full HD videos.
On the other hand, the OnePlus 3 houses a 16MP Sony IMX298 autofocus rear camera with optical image stabilisation for better shots and videos, LED flash, and an 8MP Sony IMX179 front-facing camera. It also has the ability to record videos in 4K resolution.
